"Silverton Moose Stories" is now available in paperback or as an ebook!
At barely one month old, the moose twins Linus and Lucy were orphaned when their mother was hit and killed on the highway. Born just outside of the small mountain town of Silverton in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado, they were unofficially adopted by the town residents and were a regular sight in Silverton during the fall of 2021. Linus and Lucy were never far apart, relying on each other as they struggled to survive their first winter without a mother to teach and protect them. Their story is one of a collection of stories in this book about several of the moose that live high in the San Juans, including the old bull who returned every fall to find a mate and Dora the newborn calf.
